Holidays:
As fall harvest comes to an end, we look forward to
a beautiful holiday season and the chance to spend time with loved
ones. This fall, we had the good fortune to see our friends and
family at a La Filice
Winemaker's dinner at Gilroy's "Westside Grill." The response by
La Filice Wine Club members
was phenomenal...thank you! And, a special thanks to Steve Beck and
his staff at Westside Grill.
On October 19th, La Filice Winery was invited to
pour at the Second Annual Pear and Wine Festival at Santana Row in
San Jose. The festival enjoyed perfect weather, and brought out wine
lovers galore. La Filice was
well received, and we look forward to attending again next
year.

Offering - 2004 Convivio Winter Sale

In
consideration of the fast-approaching holiday season, La Filice is offering special
pricing on the 2004 Convivio
blend. For those unfamiliar with our proprietary blend, the 2004 Convivio is a blend of 77%
syrah and 23% cabernet sauvignon. A Wine Club favorite, the '04 Convivio continues to drink
wonderfully, and should peak in 2010. Normally listed at $22 per
bottle, special offer...

Release: 2006 Shell Creek Petite Sirah
|
Our third
release from an exemplary vineyard, the 2006 Shell Creek Petite Syrah was
bottled on June 13th, and is beginning to show the characteristic
velvety richness and seductive finish for which it is known. As with
the previous vintages, we expect the development to improve with
proper cellaring. Considering the limited 55 case production, we
recommend that our avid Shell Creek fans buy theirs before it is
gone.

We are
delighted with the results of this year's harvest. Our Estate-grown
Via Della Vigna clones
yielded a record 1.2 tons of superb quality syrah, grenache noir,
mourvedre and tannat. the assemblage will produce approximately 60
cases. Under the "embarassment of riches" column, we received 3.2
tons of maginificent Shell Creek
Petite Sirah. The resulting wine appears to be the best
to-date. In spite of our avowed passion for wines of Rhone heritage,
we happened upon a miniscule pinot noir vineyard with huge
potential. We now have crafted two barrels of pinot noir that we
believe will compliment our current
La Filice offerings.
